Original Muslims were well-grounded in knowledge believed in what hath been revealed to thee

2/121. الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَتْلُونَهُ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِ أُولَٰئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ ۗ وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِهِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ

وہ لوگ جنہیں ہم نے کتاب دی ہے—- وہ اسے پڑھتے ہیں جیسا اس کے پڑھنے کا حق ہے—- وہی لوگ اس پر ایمان لاتے ہیں جور اس سے انکار کرتے ہیں وہی نقصان اٹھانے والے ہیں

Those to whom We have sent the Book! study it as it should be studied; condition they are the ones that believe therein; those who reject faith therein the loss is their own.

3/7 هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْهُ آيَاتٌ مُحْكَمَاتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَابِهَاتٌ ۖ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ ابْتِغَاءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَابْتِغَاءَ تَأْوِيلِهِ ۗ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْوِيلَهُ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ۗ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِهِ كُلٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّنَا ۗ وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلَّا أُولُالْأَلْبَابِ

وہی تو ہے جس نے تم پر کتاب نازل کی— جس کی بعض آیتیں محکم ہیں —– (اور) وہی اصل کتاب ہیں—– اور بعض متشابہ ہیں— تو جن لوگوں کے دلوں میں کجی ہے – وہ متشابہات کا اتباع کرتے ہیں—— تاکہ فتنہ برپا کریں —— اور مراد اصلی کا پتہ لگائیں—–– حالانکہ مراد اصلی خدا کے سوا کوئی نہیں جانتا — اور جو لوگ علم میں دست گاہ کامل رکھتے . ہیں—-وہ یہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ان پر ایمان لائے یہ سب ہمارے پروردگار کی طرف سے– ہے اور نصیحت تو عقل مند ہی قبول کرتے ہیں

It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad SAW) the Book (this Quran). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations basic or fundamental (of established meaning); of the Book And are Al-Ahkam

and others not entirely clear. established meaning. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials), and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allah. And those(original Muslims) who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord." And none receive admonition except men of understanding.

3/8. رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ

اے رب ہمارے! جب تو ہم کو ہدایت کر چکا تو ہمارے دلوں کا نہ پھیر اور اپنے ہاں سے ہمیں رحمت عطافرما بے شک تو بہت زیادہ دینے والا ہے

"Our Lord!" (They say), "let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thee: for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure.

3/9. رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ جَامِعُ النَّاسِ لِيَوْمٍ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ

اے ہمارے رب! توایک دن سب لوگوں کو جمع کرنے والا ہے جس میں کوئی شک نہیں بے شک الله اپنے وعدہ کا خلاف نہیں کرتا

"Our Lord! Thou art He that will gather mankind together against a day about which there is no doubt: for Allah never fails in His promise."

4/162. لَٰكِنِ الرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ مِنْهُمْ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ ۚ وَالْمُقِيمِينَ الصَّلَاةَ ۚ وَالْمُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أُولَٰئِكَ سَنُؤْتِيهِمْ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

لیکن ان میں سے جو علم میں پختہ ہیں اور مسلمان ہیں سومانتے ہیں— اس کو جو تجھ پر نازل ہوا اور جو تجھ سے پہلے نازل ہو چکا ہے اور نماز قائم کرنے والے اور زکواة دینے والے اور اللهاور قیامت پر ایمان لانے والے ہیں یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جنہیں ہم بڑا ثواب عطا فرمائیں گے

But those among them who Original Muslims are well-grounded in knowledge, and the Believers, believe in what hath been revealed to thee; and what was revealed before three; and (especially) those who establish regular prayer and practise regular charity and believe in Allah and in the Last Day: to them shall We soon give a great reward.
