6/42. وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَىٰ أُمَمٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ –6/ 43. فَلَوْلَا إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا وَلَٰكِنْ قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ –6/44. فَلَمَّا نَسُوا مَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَابَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا فَرِحُوا بِمَا أُوتُوا أَخَذْنَاهُمْ بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ مُبْلِسُونَ –6/45. فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ۚ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

اور ہم نے تجھ سے پہلے بہت سی امتوں کے ہاں رسول بھیجےتھے—- پھر ہم نے انہیں سختی اور تکلیف میں پکڑا— تاکہ وہ عاجزی کریں —پھر کیوں نہ ہوا کہ جب ان پر ہمارا عذاب آیا —تو عاجزی کرتے— لیکن ان کے دل سخت ہو گئے… اور شیطان نے انہیں وہ کام آراستہ کر دکھائے جو وہ کرتے تھے … پھر جب وہ اس نصیحت کو بھول گئے جو ان کو کی گئی تھی— تو ہم نے ان پر ہر چیز کے دروازے کھول دیئے… یہاں تک کہ جب وہ ان چیزوں پر خوش ہو گئےجو انہیں دی گئیں تھیں— ہم نے انہیں اچانک پکڑ لیا وہ اس وقت نا امید ہوکر کر رہ گئے پھر ان ظالموں کی جڑ کاٹ دی گئی— اور الله ہی کے لیے سب تعریف ہے جو سارے جہان کا پالنے والا ہے

Before thee We sent (Messengers) to many nations, and We afflicted the nations with suffering and adversity that they might learn humility. When the suffering reached them from Us, why then did they not learn humility? On the contrary their hearts became hardened, and Satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them. But when they forget the warning they had received, We opened to them the gates of all (good) things, until, in the midst of their enjoyment of Our gifts, on a sudden, We called them to account, when lo! they were plunged in despair! Of the wrong-doers the last remnant was cut off. Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher of the worlds

25/17. وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَيَقُولُ أَأَنْتُمْ أَضْلَلْتُمْ عِبَادِي هَٰؤُلَاءِ أَمْ هُمْ ضَلُّوا السَّبِيلَ 25/18. قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنْبَغِي لَنَا أَنْ نَتَّخِذَ مِنْ دُونِكَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ وَلَٰكِنْ مَتَّعْتَهُمْ وَآبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَسُوا الذِّكْرَ وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا بُورًا

اورجس دن انہیں اور ان کے معبودوں کو جمع کرے گا جنھیں وہ الله کے سوا پوجتے تھے— تو فرمائے گا— کیا تم ہی نے میرے ان بندوں کو گمراہ کیا تھا—- یا وہ خود راستہ بھول گئے تھے—- کہیں گے تو پاک ہے ہمیں یہ کب لایق تھا کہ تیرے سوا کسی اور کو کارساز بناتے— لیکن تو نے انہیں اور ان کے باپ دادا کو یہاں تک آسودگی دی تھی— کہ وہ یاد کرنا بھول گئے .. اور یہ لوگ تباہ ہونے والے تھے

The Day He will gather them together (And) as well as those whom they worship besides Allah He will ask: "Was it ye who led these My servants astray, or did they stray from the Path themselves?" They will say: "Glory to Thee! Not meet was it for us that we should take for protector’s others besides Thee: but Thou didst bestow on them and their fathers, good things (in life) until they forgot the Message: for they were a people (worthless and) lost.

19/59. فَخَلَفَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا

پھر ان کی جگہ ایسے ناخلف آئے جنہو ں نے نماز ضائع کی اور خواہشوں کے پیچھے پڑ گئے پھر عنقریب گمراہی کی سزا پائیں گے

But after them there followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts: soon, then will they face Destruction―
