23/96. ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَ ۚ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُونَ 41/34.وَلَا تَسْتَوِي الْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّئَةُ ۚ ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ عَدَاوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ 41/35.وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا ذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ

بری بات کے جواب میں وہ کہو جو بہتر ہے

ہم خوب جانتے ہیں جو یہ بیان کرتے ہیں اور نیکی اور بدی برابر نہیں ہو تی (برائی کا) دفعیہ اس بات سے کیجیئے جو اچھی ہو— پھر ناگہاں وہ شخص جو تیرے اور اس کے درمیان دشمنی تھی— ایسا ہوگا گویاکہ وہ مخلص دوست ہےاور یہ بات نہیں دی جاتی –مگر—انہیں جو صابر ہوتے ہیں— اور یہ بات نہیں دی جاتی— مگر— اس کو جو بڑا بخت والا ہے

Repel evil with that which is best:

We are well-acquainted with the things they say. Nor can Goodness and Evil be equal. Repel (Evil) with what is better: then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate! And no one will be granted such goodness except those who exercise patience and self-restraint none but persons of the greatest good fortune.
