34/15. لَقَدْ كَانَ لِسَبَإٍ فِي مَسْكَنِهِمْ آيَةٌ ۖ جَنَّتَانِ عَنْ يَمِينٍ وَشِمَالٍ ۖ كُلُوا مِنْ رِزْقِ رَبِّكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لَهُ ۚ بَلْدَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ وَرَبٌّ غَفُورٌ …34/16. فَأَعْرَضُوا فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَيْلَ الْعَرِمِ وَبَدَّلْنَاهُمْ بِجَنَّتَيْهِمْ جَنَّتَيْنِ ذَوَاتَيْ أُكُلٍ خَمْطٍ وَأَثْلٍ وَشَيْءٍ مِنْ سِدْرٍ قَلِيلٍ ...34/17. ذَٰلِكَ جَزَيْنَاهُمْ بِمَا كَفَرُوا ۖ وَهَلْ نُجَازِي إِلَّا الْكَفُورَ 34/18. وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ الْقُرَى الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا قُرًى ظَاهِرَةً وَقَدَّرْنَا فِيهَا السَّيْرَ ۖ سِيرُوا فِيهَا لَيَالِيَ وَأَيَّامًا آمِنِينَ 34/19. فَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا بَاعِدْ بَيْنَ أَسْفَارِنَا وَظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ وَمَزَّقْنَاهُمْ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ 34/20. وَلَقَدْ صَدَّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِبْلِيسُ ظَنَّهُ فَاتَّبَعُوهُ إِلَّا فَرِيقًا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ 34/21. وَمَا كَانَ لَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ إِلَّا لِنَعْلَمَ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِالْآخِرَةِ مِمَّنْ هُوَ مِنْهَا فِي شَكٍّ ۗ وَرَبُّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَفِيظٌ

بے شک… قوم سبا …..کے لیے ان کی بستی میں ایک نشان تھا .دائیں اور بائیں دو باغ …..اپنے رب کی روزی کھاؤ… اور اس کا شکر کرو …..عمدہ شہر رہنے کو اور بخشنے والا رب پھر انہوں نے نافرمانی کی …..پھر ہم نے ان پر سخت سیلاب بھیج دیا—- اور ہم نے ان کے دونوں باغوں کے بدلے میں.. دو باغ بد مزہ پھل کے اور جھاؤ کے .اور کچھ تھوڑی سی بیریوں کے بدل دیے ….یہ ہم نے ان کی ناشکری کا بدلہ دیا اور ہم ناشکروں ہی کو برا بدلہ دیا کرتے ہیں ………. اورہم نے ان کے اور ان بستیوں کے درمیان جن میں ہم نے برکت رکھی تھی… بہت سے گاؤں آباد کر رکھے تھے جو نظر آتے تھے…… اور ہم نے ان میں منزلیں مقرر کر دیں تھیں.. ان میں راتوں اور دنوں کو امن سے چلو ……پھر انہوں نے کہا اے ہمارے رب ہماری منزلوں کو دور دور کردے…..ا ور انہوں نے اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کیا…. سو ہم نے انہیں کہانیاں بنا دیا ………اور ہم نے انہیں پورے طور پر پارہ پارہ کر دیا.… بے شک اس میں ہر ایک صبر شکرکرنے والے کے لیے نشانیاں ہیں …..اور البتہ شیطان نے ان پر اپنا گمان سچ کر دکھایا …..سوائے ایمان داروں کے ایک گروہ کے.… سب اس کے تابع ہو گئے ……. حالانکہ ان پر اس کا کوئی زور بھی نہیں تھا.... مگر یہی کہ ہم نے ظاہر کرنا تھا …..کون آخرت پر ایمان لاتا ہے… اورکون اس سے شک میں پڑا ہوا ہے…. اور تیرا رب ہر چیز پر نگہبانہے

There was for Saba’, afore time, a Sign in their homeland― two Gardens to the right and to the left. Eat of the Sustenance (provided) by your Lord, and be grateful to Him: a territory fair and happy, and a Lord Oft-Forgiving! But they turned away (from commands of Allah), and We sent against them the flood (released) from the Dams, and We converted their two garden (rows) into “gardens” producing bitter fruit, and tamaracks, and some few (stunted) Loti― trees. That was the Requital We gave them because they ungratefully rejected Faith: and never do We give (such) requital except to such as are ungrateful rejecters. Between them and the Cities on which We had poured Our blessings We had placed Cities in prominent positions, and between them We had appointed stages of journey in due proportion: “Travel therein secure by night and by day.” But they said: “Our Lord! place longer distances between our journey-stages.“but they wronged themselves (therein). At length We made them as a tale (that is told), and We dispersed them all in scattered fragments. Verily in this are Signs for every (soul that is) patiently constant and grateful. And on them did Satan prove true his idea, and they followed him, all but a Party that believed. But he had no authority over them― except that We might test the man who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt concerning it: and thy Lord doth watch over all things.
